Tournament Tryouts

Region 91 is announcing the final dates for Tournament Tryouts for our spring tournament teams. Tournament teams are picked from players who attend tryouts, and will be competing in several tournaments in Southern California. The level of play will challenge your players and help them become stronger and more confident, all while retaining the spirit of and organization membership in AYSO. There is some cost involved, but it is much more affordable than club teams.

There will be two days of tryouts for players to attend: October 9th and 30th, both 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Tryouts will be on the Lancaster National Soccer Center WEST field 3. Players should bring shin guards and a ball, as well as wear their regular season jersey. See the flyer below for more information.

Week Three Complete

Three weeks, three great days of games. It was another warm one, but the players still played great. You may have noticed that the team pictures you received didn't quite fit the picture holder in the packet. That's becasue the picture company accidentally printed 5x7 pictures instead of 3x5. Oops. So, they printed everyone 3x5s to fit the picture holder and let everyone have the 5x7s for free. Pictures are at the tent for pickup if your coach doesn't have them yet.

Again, team standings have been updated, and Volunteer Points have been updated. As a note, both Sportsmanship awards and playoff eligilibity (for U10 to U14) are tied to Volunteer points. Also, next week is when teams will start loosing points for not refereeing, so if you have referees, have them sign-up and referee next week.
